Frequently asked questions

What is BYOK?

BYOK stands for Bring Your Own Key. If you have an Anthropic API account, you can connect your own key to Kase Agent. In BYOK mode, API usage is billed directly to your Anthropic account — we charge no usage markup. You can also choose which Anthropic model your agent uses, including Claude Haiku for lower cost or Claude Opus for higher capability. The monthly plan fee still applies.

Can I switch between Standard and Custom?

You can upgrade from Standard to Custom at any time. Contact us and we will schedule a discovery call. Your existing agent configuration carries over as a starting point. Downgrading from Custom to Standard is possible at renewal but some custom tool integrations may not be available on the Standard plan.

What tools are included with Standard?

Standard agents include web search, email drafting, Google Calendar, document Q&A, content generation, and Gmail integration. These tools are available immediately after signup and authorization. Feature packs let you add up to 8 additional custom capabilities on top of the standard set.

How long does Custom setup take?

After the discovery call, most Custom agents are live within 3-7 business days. The timeline depends on the number of integrations and the complexity of your workflow. We provide a specific estimate at the end of the discovery call. The setup fee ($750-2,500) is scoped based on what we discuss.

What if I want a refund?

Standard plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within your first 30 days, contact support@kaseagent.com for a full refund — no questions asked. Custom plan setup fees are non-refundable once we begin building, which is typically within 24 hours of the discovery call. The ongoing $99/month Custom subscription is not covered by the money-back guarantee.

Is my data secure?

Conversation data is stored in Supabase with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We do not use your data to train AI models — your conversations are used only to operate your agent. Data is retained for 12 months after cancellation and then permanently deleted. You can request early deletion by contacting support@kaseagent.com.
